“ I did not stay here, but a friend gave me a restaurant gift card for my birthday. Never mind which birthday. The food and service is of a very high standard. Also, no children running around tables. The Thai red curry shrimp soup was perfect. My wife loves her salad appetizer and the dressing was just about perfect. I had the steak with brussel sprouts and potato puree. Pure baby food. This will be a gift that keeps on giving as it will now be a regular spot for us. ”

What they all have in common though is the exorbitant pricing, simply because they can. The difference between all the other restaurants and 1770 is that when you factor in the variables that equate to good dining, especially the food, drink and service, the word "exorbitant" never comes to mind because you always leave knowing you were part of a to a top notch, high quality, best-in-class experience. From the innovative combinations, to the use of true local, seasonal ingredients, Chef Michael Rozzi is currently untouchable in the culinary realm and his professionalism disseminates from the back of the house, to the front and all throughout the dining room. Time and time again we find ourselves looking for the next best thing that the "Hamptons" have to offer, and time after time I realize it's a futile effort as the next best thing continues to be the last best thing, which is always 1770. ”
